Compositions that elevate intricate effects in the space between 2 D and 3 D
By creating with materials and textures through the innovative use of color and
technique variation, my work blends engaging vibes with exquisite detailing,
creating inclusive art that is intriguing as well as beautiful.
"Petals Beneath" is a delightful exploration in variations and marbling of secondary colors on Yupo paper. Almost 2000 petals were made cut and then formed into ~400 flowers then arranged in a pleasing composition at various heights on canvas 24" x 18" x 3" in framed in a plexiglass shadowbox

"Flower Power" is a lovely compilation of vibrant, colorful handmade flowers mounted on sewing pins and arranged in relief. This gives the viewer a sense of depth. Paper is marbled, then each petal is cut and selected to make a single flower. The flowers are the mounted on canvas and arranged in an engaging composition to draw the viewer's eye. Framed in a rare rainbow-sided acrylic plexiglass 12"X 12"x2" frame.

"Treasures" is a tribute to all of us that have collected interesting little items that have caught our eye. Here are a few of my favorites mica, lapis lazuli stones, shell and pyrite. These objects are nestled in acorn tops that are mounted on brass rods at various heights, They appear to be floating off the canvas.

This a one of a kind, 6”x6” framed piece of wall art. Over 60 flowers are constructed of individual flower petals cut from custom marbled paper and assembled in a flower shapes. Small rhinestones are an added detail to the center of some flowers to give a glimmer of sparkle. Each flowers is mounted at various heights to allow for depth of field thus crossing the space dimensionally between 2D and 3D. The shadowbox frame features rainbow acrylic sides that change colors as the light hits it. The frame is a depth of 2" and this frame elevates the art with striking dialed-up pastels that change colors depending on the viewing angle creating a vibrant prism effect that complements the art beautifully. The front panel of the shadowbox is made with clear 98% UV protected acrylic.
"Everyone is Blooming" is a piece in my super bloom collection. 6"x6" sculptural art in an acrylic shadow box.
